Vel is a Moroccan, Paris-based DJ, producer and live artist whose sound blends hypnotic techno, trance and ambient with powerful percussion and ethereal textures inspired by her North African roots. Resident at Le Sucre (Lyon) since 2022, she has earned recognition from artists such as Anetha and In Aeternam Vale. After releasing three acclaimed EPs, her debut album There is Always a Solution (Mama Told Ya) in 2024 marked a new chapter in her career, followed by the launch of her own label, PURR, in 2025. She has performed at iconic venues including Berghain, Basement (NYC), Bassiani, Fold, RSO, Faust Seoul and Pawnshop Taipei. With emotionally charged, percussion-driven sets that transcend BPM and genre boundaries, Vel has established herself as one of the most exciting names in the contemporary electronic music scene.
